Eliminate cycle time and severity on your preliminary estimates

When preparing an estimate for collision repair, it’s crucial to obtain accurate information ASAP.

To improve severity and cycle time in estimating wiring harness and connector repairs, we recommend the following steps:

  1. Be proactive on the front-end of your claim. If you notice a damaged or missing pigtail (e.g. a blind spot connector), fire up our mobile app and upload a photo. You’ll be connected to one of our pigtail pros within seconds, for help in identifying the connector and in receiving technical and schematic support!
  2. Get a second opinion. Even if you’re told that “you need the whole wiring harness”, we strongly recommend you seek a second opinion (for more information, read about this $150 repair which became an $8,000 disaster). While it’s true that some wiring harnesses must be replaced in their entirety, many can be safely and quickly repaired via a much cheaper de-pin/re-pin or wire solder repair.
