The following video demonstrates repair of an Z27C2 connector via de-pin and re-pin method.

Part number Z27C2 is our single most in-demand automotive pigtail, used in a wide variety of models including those from Acura, Honda, Lexus, Subaru and Toyota.

Most commonly, it may serve as a fog lamp or headlight low beam connector.

As demonstrated in this video, note that when performing any pigtail repair, you always want to check for a proper seal–ensuring that the terminals/pins are securely in place–by performing a slight pull test.

00:25 Remove the front cap
00:36 Lift the first catch to release the pin; pull the wire free from the reverse side. Repeat for the other side
00:57 To re-insert, ensure the pin is oriented correctly
